Intercultural Cities Conference
Liverpool - 1-3 May 2008
Travel Information
Liverpool is in the North West of England. It is accessible by train from London and has its own airport - though Manchester Airport (30m / 45km away) is much larger and is served by many more airlines (and there are both train and coach services from Manchester Airport to Liverpool city centre.
By Train to Liverpool (Lime Street Station)
St George's Hall is located in Liverpool City Centre and directly opposite Liverpool Lime Street - the City's main train station. Lime Street is a major station and therefore trains operate from there to numerous destinations across the UK. If you are coming from London, trains to Liverpool (and Manchester) depart from London Euston station.
Several of the conference hotels are within walking distance of the station (Marriott, Liner, Adelphi). The Ibis Hotel is definitely a taxi ride, as is the Hard Day's Night (though if you're keen, you can walk it in 20 mins).
